Anand Vihar is an area known for having some of the most severe air pollution levels in India. It is also a major transport hub in New Delhi, with thousands of people travelling through the area every day. AQI levels in Anand Vihar reached 420 in October 2025, 421 on January 1, 2026, and as high as 497 on January 19, 2026.
Against this backdrop, StaticAir, in partnership with the Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC), has installed 20 PAMARES outdoor air purification units across a 500-metre stretch at Anand Vihar, with the support of our Indian partner, E&E Engineering.
The installation follows more than 3.5 years of testing and validation in India, including an independent evaluation by IIT Kanpur, which recorded particulate matter reductions of up to 65%. PAMARES has also been piloted in Visakhapatnam, Mumbai and Jaipur under different environmental conditions.
The 20-unit installation covers approximately 500 metres. Each unit operates at 0 dB, uses only 18W of power, and requires no filter replacements, supporting continuous operation with minimal maintenance.
With this installation, Anand Vihar is becoming a place where solutions to urban air pollution can be put into practice at scale, bringing outdoor air purification directly into a busy public environment.
